The Reindeer Herding Conference, Norway

In Guovdageaidnu (Kautokeino) ICR and WRH together with the Sámi University of Applied Sciences and Research Council of Norway co-organized the academic conference on the traditional knowledge of reindeer husbandry in a changing world. Organizers created a real dialogue with reindeer herders about future reindeer husbandry and reconciling different knowledge systems in order to maintain sustainable Sámi reindeer husbandry. Parts of the events were hosted at the NOMAD FoodLab, with young Indigenous chefs and traditional chefs serving food for participants.
